Trap feeding? Kind of?

Our first whale of the day was a whale that was trap/kick-feeding at the surface. It was more of a sideways trap feed after swishing its tail on the surface creating a current to corral the fish by itself. A remarkable display of feeding we rarely see in Santa Barbara!
