Spectacular sea conditions graced the channel, making it a perfect day for some whale watching. Captain Adam took us to the separation zone in the shipping lanes where he found two humpback whales. The whales were chasing a pod of about 100 dolphins. The dolphins lead the way to the food while the whales followed suit! Spring is in the air, and so are the killer whales! Our second sighting within a weeks time, orca are certainly on the mind for our passengers and crew . A report from our friends on the Stardust fishing boat came in alerting us to a pod of orcas in the channel. 30 knots and 15 miles later, we were on scene with 8 killer whales.
