Mugger, among 18+ whales across 2 trips

Another splendid day spent with humpback whales in the channel. Across both trips, we encountered 4 unique cow/ calf pairs of whales, and 2 groups of 5+ individuals feeding 10 miles apart. Throw in 3,000+ dolphins throughout the day, the action was seriously nonstop. While we saw some distant breaching and tail throwing, a very friendly individual was the highlight of the day. The whale rolled underneath us and lifted its tail mighty high during a headstand! It was yet another spectacular day in the good ol SBC.
