Humpbacks, dolphins, and molas | 3 Humpback whales, 1,000 Commons, 3 mola molas

A beautiful day in the channel capped off with lots of marine life.

We found a large feeding aggregation of whales, dolphins, and sea lions in the eastern channel. We observed a single humpback as well as a cow/calf pair feeding with sea lions behind the rigs. The encounter was topped off with lots of close passes and even a tail throw from the calf. Dolphins sped around us and 2 gigantic molas and one small juvenile were seen too.

We enjoyed a beautiful day and sped back to the harbor before the afternoon wind kicked up.

Until Next Time,

The SBWW Crew
