Conditions could not have been better as the seas were flat and zero wind graced the channel. An overcast sky lifted later in the day as the sun shined over the glassy seas.
We first encountered a small group of common dolphins out by the shipping lanes. 100 dolphins spread out through the area, as they raced over to our vessel to ride in its wake.
Moving towards Santa Cruz Island, we spotted a trio of gray whales. They were slowly headed south and would life their tail flukes as they descended into the calm seas. An adult and 2 juveniles comprised this group.
A quick stop at Potato Harbor on Santa Cruz Island, we sped back to the harbor after a spectacular day at sea.
Until Next Time,
The SBWW Crew
