3 Humpbacks on a nice Day

We encountered 3 humpbacks today in beautiful seas. All three whales were smaller juveniles with very black tails! We first encountered a pair behind the oil rigs and enjoyed their company before exploring other parts of the channel.

Closer to the islands, we found another juvenile humpback. This determined whale stuck to an easterly heading and traveled at 5 knots. A busy whale, indeed!

Soon, we found a group of ~15 Dall's porpoises that were very interactive and enjoyed bowriding the boat! We got great looks before sending it home at 30 knots.
