Humpbacks galore! | 12+ Humpback whales, 1,500 common dolphins

(This report is for November 4th, 2023).

Once again, gorgeous seas met us in the channel. We began the day with overcast skies and found a huge feeding aggregation of marine life just a couple miles offshore. A cow/calf/ escort as well as a single all lungefed at the same time! In the distance, whales were all around us. We hung out with a pair of juveniles before shooting offshore to find more life. The overcast skies soon lifted as the skies were sunny and seas glass-flat. More whales were found offshore but the finale was another cow/calf/escort pair with another male trailing close behind. The whales were actively trumpet-blowing and one of the escorts raised its massive pectoral fins in the air! Just another phenomenal day in the SB Channel.

Until next time,

The SBWW Crew
