ACTIVE WHALES! | 5+ Humpbacks, 1,000 Commons

Two trips left the dock and both had equally epic sightings!

Our AM trip spent time with dolphins and two separate humpbacks; one a small juvenile, another a decent-sized sub-adult. The sub-adult appeared a little beat up with scars along its head and back (possibly indicating the sex as a male). This whale rolled around in some kelp, spy hopping through the giant algae, and slapping its giant pectoral fin at the surface.

Dolphins again were seen on the second trip, as well as 3 different whales. The pair we had been calmly watching surprised us with giant full-body breaches. Big spiraling breaches and some pec and chin slapping capped off an amazing day at sea.

Until Next Time,

The SBWW Crew
